Baccarat is a card game that is played with a single deck of cards.

Baccarat is said to have originated in France over five hundred years ago and has evolved into a high rollers game in the physical casinos. The baccarat table has seating for up to twelve people.

The object of this game is to predict which of the two hands, banker or player that are about to be dealt will be the closer to having a value of nine.

In the online casino, the method of play is like stud poker. You use the player button if you wish to bet on the player's hand, banker button to bet on the banker's hand and a tie button in case you think a tie will be dealt. When the value of a baccarat hand exceeds the value of nine, only the unit portion of the hand is counted. Two nines would total eighteen. Since only the unit portion counts, the score is counted as eight. Two fives would total ten. The unit portion is zero. The score is zero.

When the winning hand is identified, that game is over.A 5% commission is usually taken when you bet on a winning banker's hand.A tie that you did not bet on refunds your ante.A bet on a winning bankers hand normally wins twice your bet less the house commission. A bet on the player's hand returns twice your bet. Successful bets on a tie usually win eight times your bet.
